WEEE is short for "Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment" and is used EU-wide as a common designation for such waste. (Electronic scrap)

Welcome to WEEE

WEEE rules entail a producer responsibility to the effect that producers and importers of electrical equipment must organize and finance take-back and management of WEEE and report information to a producer register.

Rules on producer responsibility for EEE are administered by DPA-System (Danish Producer Responsibility System).

For more information on the consequences of the producer responsibility for different players you can select the relevant entry above.

In addition, a large number of documents on the producer responsibility rules are available for download in the right-hand column of the information pages; alternatively they can be retrieved with the SEARCH button in the upper right-hand side of this page.
